As part of our long-running work with the British Heart Foundation we have recently produced a series of images and information sheets to educate young people on their heart condition.
Previous communications left the teenagers embarrassed to be seen with the leaflets as it highlighted their condition in a very medical way — we wanted to change perceptions and talk to them in a way that they were used to. We created t-shirt graphics for each of the conditions that were then captured for the covers in a mock fashion shoot.
The feedback from the teenagers and medical professionals has been incredible. These leaflets will change the way consultants liaise with young people allowing them to take home information relevant to their own conditions.
